Our Projects

The KIRC Foundation’s past projects have focused on:
‎1. Reproductive Health: Educating communities about harmful cultural practices, sexual and reproductive health, and human rights.
‎2. Community Health Educators: Training youths to advocate for sexual and reproductive health and human rights.
‎3. Seminars and Workshops: Organizing sessions for young women, adolescents, and youths on maternal and infant health, contraception, and negotiation skills.
‎4. Empowerment: Providing vocational skills training, credit utilization, and literacy programs for rural youths and women.
‎5. HIV/AIDS Education, Care, and Support: Conducting voluntary counseling and testing sessions, forming associations for people living with HIV/AIDS, and providing support.

Some notable achievements include:

  1. ‎Working with over 5,000 individuals, including fishmongers, traders, and traditional leaders.
  2. Changing negative social practices of over 3,000 rural people, including adolescents.
  3. Providing care and support to HIV/AIDS victims, AIDS orphans, and vulnerable children.

‎The KIRC Foundation's critical issues:

  1. ‎Harmful cultural practices affecting women’s and girls’ reproductive health.
  2. Limited access to sexual and reproductive health information and services.
  3. Vulnerability to HIV/AIDS infections due to poverty and lack of economic opportunities.

By tackling these challenges, the KIRC Foundation has made a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities in the Central Region of Ghana.
